Festival of Economics of Trento: parchment for the next edition presented to Pope Leo XIV
The top management of Gruppo Il Sole 24 ORE met with Pope Leo XIV in Rome together with the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti. The audience was attended by the Group’s Chair, Maria Carmela Colaiacovo, Chief Executive Officer Federico Silvestri, and Il Sole 24 Ore Editor-in-Chief Fabio Tamburini.
During the meeting, the Holy Father was presented with the parchment bearing the title of the next edition of the Festival of Economics of Trento, scheduled to take place from 20 to 24 May, a key reference point in national and international economic and social debate.
At the audience, the value of the Festival as a forum for dialogue among institutions, academia, businesses, and civil society was outlined, along with the central themes of the 2026 edition, with particular attention to major global challenges and the involvement of younger generations.
Pope Leo XIV was also presented with the special edition of the commemorative stamp celebrating the 160th anniversary of Il Sole 24 Ore, part of the series “The Excellence of the Productive System and Made in Italy,” awarded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, featuring the philatelic postmark of Poste Italiane.
